Default Will Sup. Absorbtion ever come down?

I tend to think it's not going to come down. Two reasons for this:

1) People are selling and buying from anywhere between 5-20k (I sold one earlier for 15k). While the shop is only paying a measly 800g for them. As word of the price increase spreads, no one is going to sell to the shop, which is only going to make buying them more difficult, and sustain the high prices.

2) Even if the shop does restock, people will instantly buy them out and then demand the high prices for them again. It would be no different than if the shop suddenly stocked Sup Vigor for 5k...

I think the days of cheap Sup Absorbtion are over. Maybe this is just part of a natural cycle in rune prices, but I tend to think otherwise.

as soon as all the armor switchers finish that increased drop rate will kick them down again.

remember the drop rate increase that made them go from 100k to 4k?

it is still there waiting for demand to drop off

and I hope they dont. Why? It was increased in drop rate for a reason: to stop people charging so much for them.

Because they actually effect gameplay majorly.

Not topic related, well, sort of.

If I had Ascalon armor, a full set, and I added a Sup Abs to 1 piece ('cus dmg reduction is now on struck areas), will that globalise the -3 damage? Or will I need a rune on all pieces? I never did fully understand the dmg reduction change...

Dmg reduction from Absorbtion rune is "globalized" as you want to call it, you get the dmg reduction from the rune no matter where you are hit. Only physical dmg though of course =P.

I think this is some kind of Flaw in the Tradingsystem, though it is caused by the community. At one point, the items sold to the Trader have dropped so far in prize that no one sells them anymore. But for some strange reason, the Trader doesn't raise the amount of money he pays to reflect the demand.
The outcome is, once a certain material or rune has hit the bottom once, the trader won't have it anymore, suddenly causing a skyrocketing of prices.

Now I'm wishing I hadn't sold my first ever and only sup abs rune the other week. Oh well. Plenty more gold out there.

They'll come down again, cause most people don't have enough storage for 3 or 4 sets of armor.

But you see major absorption with about 20% of the cost.

People are buying new armor after the knight/ascalon change.

I'd sell any you have off quickly. That trend isn't going to last long.

The trader's 'Last paid' is 800g, but when you click Request Quote, it goes to 100g...

I'm not sure how long Sup Absorb has been off the Rune Traders but it has been long enough for the continuing demand - which seemingly hasn't been affected much by the nerf - to make people pay the rising prices that sellers dictate. If there is a restock at the trader, people will surge to buy them and the price will shoot up even more, which I think could go as high as it once was all those months ago. Then of course the drop rate will kick it down again reasonably quickly.

I've got 2 left of the 5 I bought about a month ago so obviously I'm hoping. Some people may think they aren't effective anymore but at least they have some use. I think people will still buy them whatever.

They should start going down since due to the update they only apply to physical damage.

I was informed that they are no longer sold because If u put one on each piece of armor then it makes u almost invicible. not sure how true this is but may be a better answer than people buying them cuz they have gotten new armor... Has anyone had one drop for them recently? not sure and doubt if I will check it out but nvr know.

Yes, had one drop this morning, every other Ettin run seems to yield one for me at the moment, I usually get a couple of majors too.

they were jokng or an uninformed idiot.

they do not stack.

secondly that would prevent someone adding a sup rune to axe/sword/tac/etc along with minor no penalty runes to everything else.

I looted one this morning off a Tundra Giant on my way to get my Kurzick armor infused. Sold it to the trader for a whopping 25 gold and noticed that its not even on the list to purchase. Minor and major absorbs were but not the sup.

I've seen a lot of scammers trying to tell people that they have been removed from the game so that they can charge large amounts of gold for a superior. They are still very much available, just temporarly sold out due to a sudden, but temporary, increase in demand.
